MICKI - LORI - RACHEL
Hello everyone! I'm Micki and I'm a book-aholic! I will stay up until all hours of the night, get up early, sit in a parking lot or sneak into the bathroom.. just to read "one more chapter". I love the feeling of being swept away into another world through the words and imaginations of others. I am always chasing my next book "high". In my other life I am the mother of five, work full time as a nurse and am active in my church and community. I also write in my free time..heehee.. free time.. and independently published my first novel The Winds of Darkness in February 2013. I really like to jump genres, it's my ADD, I cant stay in one place to long :) YA,NA, Paranormal, Fantasy and Romance are my favorite. I am a HUGE The Walking Dead fan and love to read apocalyptic type stories as well.
Hi there! My name is Lori and I am a wife, a mother of two young children, and work full-time as a secretary. When I’m not busy (which isn’t very often), I try to get in as much reading as possible – usually after the kids go to bed. I’ve also been known to do a little sneak-reading at work (shhh!). I am often stressed and overwhelmed at the number of books on my TBR. So many books, so little time! I love to escape reality and get lost in a world where everything is perfect, especially the men. I love to read anything with romance – whether it be YA, NA, Paranormal, Contemporary, or Erotica. Other interests of mine include music, going to movies, shooting pool, concerts, and traveling. I look forward to making many new book-lovin’ friends and sharing my love of reading with you.
Hello.  I'm Rachel.  I love books. All kinds of books, really. But ever since my late teenage years, when I read my first romance novel by Nora Roberts, I've been obsessed with all things romance. I independently published Home, a contemporary romance novel, in March of 2014. My follow up, Broken Home is set to come out this spring. Somewhere in between my countless hours of reading and writing, I also work part time from home and take care of my husband and two children.

“If you only go to one book signing event make it the BF Bookies North Iowa Book Bash. Not only are Lori, Micki, and Rachel delightful they are professional and well-organized. Everything ran smoothly from the author get together the night before through the heartfelt farewells. Stories were told, books were bought and friends were made. I can not wait until next year.” ~Bartenn Mills

“The wonderful trio of ladies behind NIBB went out of their way to make me feel welcome, even though I hadn’t met a single person in attendance at the time of registration. Lori, Micki, and Rachel’s enthusiasm for the book world and the kindness they show to everyone they meet are quite simply contagious. The friendships I formed with the other attending authors during the mixer the night before the signing are invaluable in so many ways, and I look forward to meeting even more next year! The signing itself was the perfect ratio of author/fan, allowing me to connect with dozens of potential readers in a relaxed environment. NIBB is at the top of my list of signings not to be missed! ~Jennifer Ann

“My excitement about this book is beyond controllable! I want, no I need EVERYONE to read this book. It's the author's first Paranormal book, but I guarantee you its AMAZING!!” ~Willow’s Corner 5 Star Review
“This story is so refreshing. So beautiful so different. It left me speechless and content at the end. I was like: yes. That was IT.” ~Heavenly Good Books 5 Star Review
"Listen. Can you just take the cap off? It's annoying me." He laughed, an unexpected sound. He seemed too intense to be the kind of person to laugh.
"Well, I'd hate to annoy you." He swept the cap off, leaving a shock of jet-black hair standing on end.
"Oh." My mouth fell open.
"Oh, what?" His eyes narrowed and I snapped my mouth shut.
“Nothing." I took a few breaths, just to make sure I was alive and there was the slimmest chance this was real.
"So, am I going to ask the questions or are you going to talk?" He laughed again, and I was sure his body pitched a little bit closer to mine. Violet eyes pinned me in place and I struggled to remember how to swallow.
"When you were seven you decided you wanted to climb trees." My body stiffened.
"Yes?"
"There's a fir tree in your back garden that's easily sixty feet high."
"Yes?"
"What do you remember about the time you fell?" The violets flickered at me.
"It was August and scorching hot, you were wearing red shorts and a yellow T-shirt. You fell through the branches like a pine cone?" I stared up into his face, his skin was dark olive, eyes burning bright. My tongue ran along my lips while my heart made a terrible thudding noise in my chest.
"I don't." I whispered.
"I woke up and I was on the ground."
"I know. I caught you." My body stepped back although his hand darted out and snatched hold of mine.
"Bronte, I've been watching you your whole life. I know it sounds weird." His nose scrunched as he contemplated just how weird it sounded.
"Why?""Because," he ran a hand through his hair, making it stick up at electrifying angles.
“Because you're the last of the star children. The last of the half born."
I rubbed my thigh, which was already aching with that heavy lead sensation that comes from a dead limb, and tried to gain my footing.
"Easy there." A hand jutted out and grasped my elbow, stabilising me as I threatened to topple again.
"Sorry," I mumbled. My cheeks were glowing a vicious, volcanic, burn. I could live without Eleanor Heavers finding out I'd fallen over not once, but twice on the first day. I knew she would, though. Gossip spread through the school like fire through a parched forest.
"You seem to be vertically challenged." The voice was soft, bringing a low bell to mind. My stomach felt all squishy, which was odd when combined with numb legs. My eyes snapped up into the shadowed face of the boy from the picnic bench. His face tilted under the worn peak of his baseball cap. His features obscured in shadows so I couldn’t get a good look at the caps owner.
"I am not." I stated. My blatant lie made the burn running along my cheeks intensify until I was uncomfortably hot. He was scrutinising me and I didn't know why. I stood there, while from under the cap, I knew he was evaluating what he saw. I prickled, straightening my shoulders. I didn't exactly march off down the corridor in outrage at his blatant presumptuous scrutiny. I just kind of suspended there while he stared from under the cap.
"No?" he asked. His fingers still held my elbow, and I tried to peer closer so I could see him better. It was an impulse I couldn’t ignore and I shifted forward.
"You also don't seem to grasp the concept of personal space.” He stepped away, breaking the spell that had pulled me towards him. The burning flush transformed into an all out uncomfortable sweat.
"Sorry, I was just. Um, just.
" What was I doing?
"Just, what?" The voice sounded like it might be amused if it could be arsed.
"Just trying to see you." The words blurted from my mouth, clanging into the air around me like boulders into a small rain puddle.
"Trying to see what?" As he spoke, my bag slipped off my shoulder. It smashed onto the floor with the heavy thud that twenty overdue library books will make. I scrambled to pick up the mess.
"You," I said. Glancing up, I looked to see his reaction to my outrageous declaration, but there was nobody there. Just me and an empty hallway and the bell tolling on the wall, telling me I was late for my first class.
I'm Anna Bloom a contemporary romance writer.
My heart lies with mature young adult, I just love writing about first love and the trials and tribulations of young romance. When I do write for adults I like it to be about second chances, not only in love but in life itself.
I live in Surrey with my husband, three children, two cats and a dog with a beard. I love cooking, especially if I'm also holding a glass of wine at the same time. I'm trying to get into growing my own veg . . . but I may just stick to writing books.
Currently I'm enjoying time at home with my new baby who's only a few months old and writing on a full time basis. When I can I love to read and watch all things supernatural on the telly : )
I'm a big believer in true love, even the instant kind and I'm at my happiest when I'm writing stories about it for other people to enjoy.

3 olyan étel vagy ital receptje, amit jelenleg imádok ~12 napos blogger kihívás 3. nap

Sziasztok!

Felkockázzuk a paradicsomot, paprikát, vöröshagymát.

Sunniva Dee: The Fighter and the Baroness ~Book Blitz+Excerpt+Teaser+Giveaway

The Fighter and the Baroness
Sunniva Dee
Publication date: November 29th 2016
Genres: New Adult, Romance
Victor Arquette knows the meaning of sacrifice. Destined to legendary status in mixed martial arts, his life is founded on it. Dedication equals sacrifice, and sacrifice means around-the-clock training, no partying, no junk food, no alcohol—and no women.
Helena von Isenlohe is the heiress to Kyria Castle. Due to her father’s lack of financial prowess, the restoration of the ancient German estate rests on Helena’s shoulders. A failed attempt leaves a wealthy man alone at the altar—and the fleeing bride on a plane to the United States.
A chance meeting, and Victor and Helena’s chemistry is undeniable. Except, her presence clutters his focus. Victor shouldn’t crave their nights, shouldn’t be concerned where she is or with whom. And meanwhile in Germany, Kyria Castle deteriorates at a suspicious speed, indebting Helena further to the man she left behind.
Victor and Helena believe in duty. They embrace sacrifice. But when love strikes, it strikes hard, and sometimes you have to choose where your heart is truly at home.
EXCERPT:
HELENA
My cheeks warm with embarrassment at the people waiting behind me. A female employee helps me unclasp the diamond bracelet and matching necklace. The crown though is impossible to get out of my princess ’do.
“Can I wear it through the security portal?” I ask, broken shoes in one hand.
“No, I’m sorry. It will buzz,” the security person explains. “The portal is created to alert us to most metals besides gold and silver.”
I can’t tell him I wear gold. Real, irreplaceable, century-old heirlooms. He wouldn’t believe me anyway. “If it’s okay with you, I’d like to try.”
He lifts his arms in subtle agreement, a have-it-your-way, and I enter the booth, walk out without incident. Employees from two checkpoints stare at me while I pick my stuff off the band. I shake my head, slowly at first, but then I have nothing to say, no witty comeback, and my flight instinct kicks in. I get up on my toes so I don’t stumble in the too-long skirt and stride as slowly as I can into the transit hall.
I need to not stress the hell out. Just, I wish someone was with me to talk me down. I could call Elfriede. I don’t have my phone. I need a new phone. God, how pathetic am I?
Once I’m sure security isn’t following, I haul butt down the corridor. Tiles are cold under bare feet, it turns out. I’d step into my shoes again, but one of them is broken. Would people stare less if I limped and my heels creak-clacked against the floor?
A high-end fashion store beams in the distance. “We’ll help you blend in. Hurry, hurry,” it calls. I run. Benches are in the way. I’m getting clumsy. I’m panicking. Suddenly, a potted palm tree appears out of nowhere, half-blocking my view of the Promised Land, and my torso doubles around it as I slam to the ground.
I let out an ungraceful oomph. And realize I’m not on the ground after all. No, there’s an arm around me, and miraculously I’m on my feet, wobbly but sort of erect.
“You all right?” an American accent asks.
“I was going to Cloe’s over there,” I explain in German, pointing feebly and not feeling as regal as I’ve been taught. Dark eyebrows contract from within a tanned face above me.
“Sorry?” His arm is still strong around me, really freaking strong, and somehow I’ve got a death grip around it while trying to pry him off.
I translate the same stupid sentence to English. “I was going to Cloe’s. It’s over there.”
His brows are perfectly thick or thin and their arcs are so perfectly perfect they look like they’ve been combed, but then the furrow between them smoothens and I discover his eyes.
Oh.
